There will be times where you need advice when choosing your new carpet & flooring. We’re here to answer any questions you might have, below are some of the more common questions we get asked by our customers.

Can you provide a measure and check suitability of flooring?

Yes, we offer a free home measure, we bring the showroom to your home, so lots of samples to choose from, plus a guide to flooring suitability based on your home needs.

Do you provide LVT Flooring?

Yes we are very proud to be a exclusive Amtico LVT Retailer. Our team are fully trained to supply and fit this amazing flooring.

Can you make rugs from the extra cut offs?

Yes we offer a free service, we send of the extra for edging, making a matching floor rug for your home.

Do you do stair runners?

Lots! Yes we can make stylish stair runner out of most carpets, with a colour edging of your choice. In fact they are extremely popular! We can add finishing touches with stair rods too.

Can you help me get my old floor ready to lay my new floor?

Yes, we offer a huge choice of services to help you. We can arrange all of this for you when you place your order with Bradfords carpets. Please make sure to let us know off any little thing that may be worrying you and we can most likely sort it out for you. One of our most popular services is that we can arrange for the fitter to uplift and remove your old flooring. We also offer a floor DPM, screeding, Ply-board and general floor imperfection service. Please ask for these services when you are ordering your new flooring. We can give you a quote and arrange this for you.

Do you offer additional fitting services?

Yes, our fitting teams offer an array of additional services to help get the perfect fit. We uplift and dispose of your old flooring, preparing your new sub-floor with screed or ply-board and perfecting fitting your new flooring. Our fitters will also trim doors. We will also vacuum every room fitted. We can edge any piece of carpet to your specific size to create the perfect rug. This technique is known as whipping! Choose one of our wonderful carpets or make matching doormats out of offcuts! Let us know the size and we’ll whip your carpet into shape!

Do you move furniture? Does my room have to be clear of all items?

Yes, we pride ourselves on helping customers move the big and balky furniture. We do ask the customer to get as much furniture out the room as possible. Our fitters will then remove the big and bulky items and put back all the furniture back.

How long does it take from ordering to having my floor fitted?

The length of time for delivery of carpets to us is based on several factors such as, the type of flooring, whether the colour / pattern chosen is in stock with the manufacturer. If speed rather than a specific colour / brand is your most pressing concern we have many manufactures with next day delivery! The main hurdle is fitting, we are normally weeks ahead in terms of fittings, however depending on size of the job and time scale we may be able to get the job squeezed in to fit your desired fitting date.

What can i expect during a home Consultation/Measure?

We usually like to come to your house before we finalise your requirements. Carpets and flooring are inherently difficult to organise so we prefer to come and see any job before we fit it. You can expect us to measure any of the rooms you are looking to re-carpet and we may ask if there are any rooms where you would like us to keep on record. We will usually discuss your underlay requirements, any joins you require, and we will sometimes talk about the product you are having installed or we will make suggestions if the product you have chosen is for some reason unsuitable for the area you would like to put it in.

Can you fit/Measure without me being there?

Yes, If we measure, we will usually have some questions for you either before or after we arrive to go through any specific requirements. Additionally, if you are happy to leave us with a key or arrange for someone to just meet us there we can carry out both measuring and fitting with nobody present.

Beds & Mattresses FAQs

Buying a new bed or mattress can be daunting, with so many options and styles available finding the right bed or mattress for you will require a bit of guidance. Luckily we’re here to help and answer any question you might have, find some of the common answers to questions we get asked below.

What happens before and during delivery?

You can expect the following steps to take place after you’ve placed your order:
For local orders with a 20 mile radius…

  1. You’ll receive a confirmation email or hard copy if ordered in store detailing your order.
  2. Once the product arrives in our warehouse a member of our team will contact the customer to book a suitable delivery date and 4 hour time slot if not already done so.
  3. On the day, our delivery team will call you to let you know when they’re just an 1/2 hour – 1 hour away.
  4. When our two-man delivery team arrives they’ll take your new mattress or bed to the room of your choice, assemble your new Mattress and/or Bed and remove any packaging.*
  5. For Mattress only purchases  – our own team will carry out a full base inspection in-case the base is detrimental to the guarantee of the New mattress.
  6. Our Customers will receive a customer service pack including care-guide and details of the manufacturers guarantee/warranty.

How long does it take to deliver a bed and/or mattress?

The majority of our products are handmade to order, so depending on the manufacturing lead time it takes at least 10 days to deliver a bed or mattress. Please double check delivery time scales time with the Sale advisor or Website as lead times will vary with different manufacturers.
However, there are a few exceptions to this. Our Studio ranges are both available for next day delivery and come rolled, boxed and delivered to your door. We also hold some stock of our most popular products if you live within our local warehouse facility we can offer a £30 express Local 24 – 48 hour Delivery service.

Do you offer next day delivery?

Selected items, such as the Studio by Silentnight come with next day delivery. Some mattresses and Divan Bases are in stock and can be collected from our warehouse or providing the item is in stock we can offer a Local express Next day delivery for an additional fee of £30.00

What if my order arrives damaged?

In the unlikely event that your order arrives in an unsuitable condition, please contact us immediately and if the damage has been caused in transit we will arrange a replacement as quickly as possible.

What happens if the product I ordered is not what I expected?

We don’t accept any returns or refunds but we understand It can take a little while to become well acquainted with your mattress, which is why we offer a total peace of mind 60 night sleep comfort guarantee after 4 weeks from delivery.

How do I exchange a product?

If for any reason you’re not totally satisfied with your new bed or mattress, we’ll exchange it for an alternative bed or mattress of your choice – as long as you contact us after 30 days of purchase/delivery  and/or up to a maximum of 60 nights days of receipt. *Terms and Conditions apply.
Please note – an extra charge will applied for selecting a more expensive product – no refund will be given against a cheaper alternative.

Founded in 1986, Bradfords has stood as a staple of Eveshams high street. We have built our reputation with one goal in mind, to present every customer with the best shopping experience we can possibly achieve. We focus on making your order completely bespoke to your requirements and giving the best possible customer service we can. We have almost 100 years of flooring knowledge combined within the company and are more than happy to help anybody to contact us. We have employed fitters working for us full time, they take pride in every job they do. Having spent so many years working together the team work that the fitters show is truly remarkable.

We offer free of charge, no obligation quotations to anyone within our catchment area and will try to get you priced up there and then in your house. Obviouly we do have some exceptions dependant on your application but same day quotations is our aim. Alternatively, we can come to measure before you visit and get you priced up in store.

Which Geographic areas do you cover?

We cover large parts of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. We tend to keep to a 25 mile radius from our shop however we can travel further if required. We have been making houses homes coverings the Cotswolds & Vale of Evesham for over 38 years now,

Can we visit your showroom?

Yes we offer free customer parking, a warm drink with a promise of no pressure sales, just good customer service where you can view all our ranges on offer. We are located on Evesham High Street and have two floors. Ground floor we have an extensive range of carpets, vinyl, hard wood to view. Plus we have an interactive Amtico LVT flooring studio, where we can help, advise and provide samples to help make the best choice for your home.
